Harvest dedicated Alder trees — large white trunks with purple foliage — using the Spirit-Felling Sickle. Basic sickles and indiscriminate forest chopping will not drop this tier.

Alder Wood bridges early wood tiers and late-game construction — once upgrades accelerate, you will want a stockpile. Gain woodcutting XP from any wood harvest until level 5, then unlock the sickle before farming seriously.
