WitchspireDB

Frequently Asked Questions

About Witchspire the game — and how WitchspireDB helps you play it.

What kind of game is Witchspire?
Witchspire is a survival adventure where you create your own witch, befriend magical familiars, and build a personal sanctuary — alone or with friends in co-op. Spellcraft shapes how you gather, craft, and settle into the world.
Why is Witchspire in Early Access?
The developers want Witchspire to be a living world you return to for years, not a one-off release. Early Access opens the door for real player feedback while the game is still taking shape, with the long-term goal of growing the project alongside its community.
What do you actually do in Witchspire?
Plenty. Customize your witch, join a coven, collect outfits, and chase upgrades across a deep ability tree. Use magic to gather resources and expand your sanctum — from conjuring forests to calling down meteors for phantom pickaxes. Familiars can fight with you, keep your base running, or simply be companions. And as ancient Witchspires wake from centuries of silence, you'll explore their secrets while something darker stirs underground.
When can I play Witchspire?
The team wants to get the game into players' hands as soon as it hits a quality bar they're happy with. Early Access is the first step for gathering essential feedback — follow the official Steam page, Discord, and social channels for release timing.
Where can I follow official Witchspire news?
Envar Games posts updates across the platforms linked from the game's Steam page — including teasers, patch notes, and major announcements. Discord is also a good place to watch for community news.
Which platforms will Witchspire release on?
Early Access is focused on PC. Console releases may be explored closer to a full 1.0 launch, once the core experience is in a stable place.
Is WitchspireDB an official Envar Games website?
No. WitchspireDB is an independent fan wiki and database. We are not affiliated with Envar Games.
Where does WitchspireDB get its data?
All entries are sourced from verified Early Access builds and community-validated research. We debunk false wiki claims where possible.
How often is the database updated?
We update after each major patch. Visit our Updates page for the full changelog.
Can I suggest a correction?
Yes — email us at contact@witchspiredb.com with the entry name, your game version, and what should change.
Why does the calculator show different numbers than in-game?
Some recipe amounts vary by build version. Always confirm final amounts in the in-game crafting UI.
How does saving work in Witchspire?
There is no manual save button — progress is handled automatically. Sleeping is not required to save, and skipping rest has no penalty for now. The game autosaves about every 15 minutes and writes a save when you quit. To confirm, select your world on the world screen, choose Open save folder, and check the backups subfolder for timestamped files.
How do I delete a world?
On the world select screen, highlight the world you want to remove and choose Open save folder. Delete that world's save folder in File Explorer — go up one level if you landed inside the backups folder. The same path is where you can swap in backup saves if you need to roll back.
How do I increase Witchcraft skill?
Craft items at the Witchcraft Circle — any recipe there grants Witchcraft XP. Ritual Tomes, which you also craft at the circle, are a reliable way to push the skill higher.
