Core capture and combat rules before you browse individual entries.

How to obtain

Defeat overworld creatures — each kill can leave a lingering spirit at the death spot. Stay close until you confirm whether one appeared.

1.Interact with the spirit before leaving the area.
2.Bind it at a Hearth to add the familiar to your roster.
3.Assign it to a party slot or crafting station.

Boost drop rates

Incense temporarily raises the chance that defeated enemies leave a capturable spirit. Light it just before the killing blow — higher-grade incense applies a stronger retention bonus.

Combat commands

Your active familiar fights alongside you. It will auto-attack, but directed commands generally produce better results.

Four grades affect health, damage, passive bonuses, and ability impact.

Party slots

Carry up to three familiars in your roster. Only one follows you in the overworld at a time — swap the active companion quickly while exploring. Roster familiars can still be assigned to crafting stations without being your field follower.
