Iron Ore

Mined from black Iron Ore deposits in the wild with a Witch's Pickaxe — raw ore must be smelted at a Furnace with Charcoal to become Iron Ingots. Craft the pickaxe at Hearth level 2 via the Luminaries Pickaxe blueprint before farming.

Iron Ore is the raw gather step — most players mine a few nodes in Starseed's Hollow, then smelt at base. Gemstones can rarely drop while mining any ore node.

Furnace (to smelt into Iron Ingot)

• Step 1 — Get a Witch's Pickaxe: reach Hearth level 2, unlock the Pickaxe blueprint in Luminaries, then craft at the Workbench (10 Carapace, 10 Froblin Goo, 1 Gemstone).
• Step 2 — Travel to Starseed's Hollow on the southeast starter island — look for the giant Alder tree as your landmark.
• Step 3 — Find the pond clearing with a smaller Alder tree nearby; black Iron Ore deposits sit on the hillside to the left of that area.
• Step 4 — Mine with left-click or hold on the deposit; use the right-click mining skill when Mana is full for faster clears.
• Step 5 — Haul ore home and smelt at the Furnace with Charcoal to produce Iron Ingots for crafting.
